Guy G. MA, Intern

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Emboldened Psychological Services (EPS), currently completing my M.A. at Oakland University, where I will also begin a Ph.D. in Counseling this fall.

My path to the therapy room has been shaped by a dynamic and unconventional journey, beginning as a combat medic and later serving at the Ministry of Defense. These roles cultivated a deep and nuanced understanding of trauma, resilience, and the complexities of the human experience.

With a professional background spanning government, tech innovation, and nonprofit leadership, I bring an integrative, systems-informed perspective to therapy. I strive to create a space that is both grounding and empowering, where clients feel seen, supported, and emboldened to explore their most authentic selves.

Outside the therapy room, I am a husband, father, certified rescue diver, devoted polar plunger, open water swimmer, and avid traveler who has engaged with diverse cultures around the world. I carry that same sense of curiosity, courage, and compassion into my clinical work, contributing to the safe, inclusive, and holistic healing environment we foster at EPS.
